Charlie Dressen served as manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1951-1953. He returned to the Dodgers as a coach in 1959 and worked through the 1959 Dodgers World Championship. Dressen then managed the Milwaukee Braves in 1960-1961 and later was hired by the Detroit Tigers to manage in 1963.
