Letter of appreciation from Matsutaro Shoriki to Walter O’Malley

Yomiuri Founder and Chairman Matsutaro Shoriki sends a letter of gratitude and appreciation to Walter O’Malley for the opportunity of the Tokyo Yomiuri Giants to train at Dodgertown – Vero Beach, Florida during the spring of 1967. This was the Giants’ second trip to Dodgertown, the first made in 1961, a championship season for them. Their 1967 visit to Dodgertown would also culminate in a 1967 Japan Series championship. This correspondence is a representative sample between Shoriki and O’Malley.
