Al Wolf of the Los Angeles Times writes, “The disclosure made here Tuesday — the information obtained from a very reliable source — that Walter O’Malley, incensed by the proposed property tax boost on Dodger Stadium, is in a mood to sell and then lease back the premises, brought a prompt denial. Wednesday, the Dodger president and principal owner pooh-poohed the story. ‘There is not one word of truth to the report,’ he stated.” Al Wolf, Los Angeles Times, July 4, 1963
