O’Malley has discussions with Pasadena City Manager Don C. McMillan and Asst. City Manager Robert McCurdy. National League President Warren C. Giles also lends support at the meetings.

An early morning round of golf for Walter O’Malley with Shigeru Mizuhara, former Manager of the Yomiuri Giants, at the Los Angeles Country Club. Mizuhara was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977, having won five Japan Series titles (including one with Toei Flyers).
