During World War II, Walter O’Malley was named to the board of directors for Todd & Brown, Inc. The civil engineering firm built and operated the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant in La Porte, Indiana, which assembled and produced all types of ammunition during the war effort. O’Malley was presented with an I.D. badge for his trips to Kingsbury Ordnance Plant. He also traveled to Washington, D.C. for meetings.
Todd & Brown supervised the building of New York’s Rockefeller Center and Virginia’s Old Williamsburg. In 1928, Webster Todd formed Todd & Brown, Inc. along with Joseph Brown. Webster and his wife Eleanor were good friends of Kay and Walter O’Malley.
