Biography

Tai Il-Lee

Tai Il-Lee from South Korea became a friend of Peter O’Malley in 1990 when he attended “Dodger University” at Dodgertown, Vero Beach, Florida as an intern. That led to his sports career as an intern for the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium in 1993-1994, a baseball writer for Joongang Daily (1994-2006) and as executive director of Naver Sports, South Korea’s premier portal site (2006-2011). By 2011, he was named team president and CEO for the expansion NC Dinos, the ninth professional team in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO). In 2014, the Dinos finished third in the KBO and became the first team in KBO history to make the playoffs in its second year. Tai Il-Lee returned to Historic Dodgertown from November 9-15, 2014 to participate in the 53rd Los Angeles Dodgers Adult Baseball Camp. He was joined by Dinos Manager Kyung Moon Kim for the camp. In 2016, the Dinos won their first postseason series, before losing in the Korean Series to Doosan. He completed his leadership of the Dinos in 2018 and became CEO of Sports 2i in 2019. In March, 2022, he was named COO of Sportizen.
