The 1962 Los Angeles Dodger media guide as drawn by cartoonist Pete Bentovoja shows O’Malley as the pilot of the new Dodger Electra as the famed plane made its maiden flight in 1962. The four propeller plane had plenty of room for recreation for the players, including a sleeping area. However, contrary to Bentovoja’s drawing, the Kay-O’, named for the wife of Walter O’Malley, did not have a television, pool table, bath tub, putting green, or sufficient room for the players to play dice!
